Introduction

In the beginning, there was.... THE CREATED!! In Genesis 1:1, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” We are among those who are created, along with you and the entire world! We are all the children of God.
As the group “The Created”, our goal is spread the love of God not only through video presentations but also to everyone we come in contact with. We are here to praise God for his amazing creation and we want to share that mutual feeling of praise with the world!
During our senior year at Glendale Adventist Academy, we are learning about Ancient Polytheistic Literature and how it compares to the Bible. The ancient literature we are studying includes but most likely is not limited to the Enuma Elish and other related literature.
In Ancient Polytheistic Literature, there was no single, All-Powerful God. There were many, many gods and in contrast to the Bible, gods were actually created. We believe that in our day and age, people create their own “Gods” or treat certain things like “Gods”. For example, people in our society view money, powerful, fame, and pleasure as gods in their lives.
Our blog will show how these materialistic “Gods” don’t actually lead to true or sustainable happiness; in fact, they almost inhibit happy. In the Bible, Jesus said to the rich young ruler who had asked what he had to do to gain eternal life, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” The rich young ruler had made money his “God”. Our blog’s goal is to show how man-made gods can’t compare or deliver the true happiness that the one true God can.

The P90X God

Sometimes even things that are good for us can become a distraction in our lives and take our focus off of God and onto other things. In The P90X God, two friends become lured into working out to fit in with all the buff people around them. During the process they focus too much on working out and loose sight of the things that are really important in our lives: God, Family, Friends, etc. By spending too much time working out and not enough time outside the gym their spiritual and social lives quickly grow stagnant and their bodies quickly burn out. Eventually their addiction to physical exercise becomes so strong that the only thing that can help them is a divine miracle. The only thing that can help them is God.

The StarCraft God

Tristan has a not so secret addiction. He is obsessed over the latest videogame: StarCraft II. Everyday he plays StarCraft from morning till evening. He eats and lives at his computer screen. As he loses sight of God and those around him and continues to focus on his videogame, his life becomes progressively worse. Eventually the stress of overplaying StarCraft brings him to a meeting with his maker. But the StarCraft God wont take him, instead he casts Tristan aside and leaves him helpless with no one to turn to. Will anyone come and rescue Tristan from the grave? Watch The StarCraft God to find out!

"God, my God, I yelled for help and you put me together. God, you pulled me out of the grave, gave me another chance at life when I was down-and-out."

The Rock God

Tristan is your average bloke. He loves to listen to music and of course his favorite type is ROCK N ROLL!!! Purchasing a guitar, he taught himself a few chords and decided that he would form a proper Rock band. But unfortunately, the chords he had learned weren't good enough, and all the members of the band slowly left. As the last member left, the lead singer, Tristan came upon the realization that He COULD NOT PLAY GUITAR. So, he took off his axe and prayed to the Rock God that he could play guitar and be a part of the band. Appearing out of nowhere the Rock God instantly began instructing him how to be a true rocknroller. But at what price will this new found god carry? Will Tristan be driven to exhaustion or will he be able to make it through the tough challenges presented to him by the Rock God.

"Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands: Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious."
